Anxiety – underlies many conditions

by

Anxiety is the main complaint at Neurofeedback Scotland, and we can help.  We all experience anxiety; from a racing heart before a big event or times of passing stress. But more serious forms of anxiety affect millions of people worldwide every day. Some figures suggest that almost 17% of Scots suffer from anxiety.  But while anxiety is universal, the path to healing doesn’t have to rely solely on conventional methods. We are keen to get this message out: neurofeedback and bio-resonance are innovative and non-invasive therapies which work quickly to reduce and eliminate anxiety.

Prolonged anxiety is more than just day to day stress – it’s a persistent state of unease that can interfere with daily life, relationships, and physical health. Symptoms can range from restlessness, fatigue, and difficulty concentrating to full-blown panic attacks. Medication might help in the short term, but neurofeedback and bio-resonance tackle the root cause of anxiety and the imbalance in your brain and body.

Both neurofeedback and bio-resonance share a common goal: self-regulation. They empower individuals to shift from a reactive, stressed state into one of calm, resilience, and adaptability—without pharmaceuticals or invasive procedures. In a world that often demands too much of our minds and bodies, these therapies offer a return to our own innate capacity to heal.

Neurofeedback trains the brain to regulate itself by monitoring brainwave activity in real time.  Over time, this feedback helps retrain the brain to be more balanced and calmer with symptoms reduced.   Just as you build muscle through repetition and resistance, neurofeedback allows the brain to build better patterns through gentle, guided self-regulation.

In people with anxiety, brainwave patterns are often overactive or imbalanced. For instance, excessive high beta waves (associated with worry and rumination) or insufficient alpha waves (linked to relaxation) are common. Neurofeedback helps normalise these patterns, reducing symptoms like hypervigilance, intrusive thoughts, and sleep disturbances. Sessions are painless and non-invasive, with many clients reporting significant improvements after just a few weeks.

Bio-resonance therapy is a gentle, energy-based treatment that uses the body’s electromagnetic frequencies to identify and correct imbalances. Distortions in frequencies can happen due to stress, toxins, trauma, which can result in illness.  Our L.I.F.E device can identify irregular frequencies and deliver corrective frequencies back to the body to promote self-healing.

For anxiety, bio-resonance may help by:

  • Identifying stress triggers or environmental sensitivities
  • Detoxifying the body from electromagnetic overload or heavy metals
  • Supporting nervous system regulation
  • Reducing the physical burden of stress and trauma on the body
  • playing a supportive role in emotional and physiological well-being.

These powerful therapies are invaluable in managing anxiety.  Many of our clients call it a ‘life-changer’.  However, we also might recommend other supportive practices such as yoga, meditation, dietary changes and regular exercise.

We work with children and adults and are fully qualified practitioners.  Please ask us any questions, visit our website www.neurofeedback.scot or make a booking directly!  .
